Jamileh Ahmed is a 4th - year graduate student in the Roskamp laboratory of Dr. Gabriel De Erausquin at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, which is in the department of Behavioral Neurosciences and Psychiatry. She is currently using induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) reprogramming to investigate underlying biological mechanisms responsible for Schizophrenia pathology. Jamileh also enjoys giving back to her community through several local outreach organizations and 5K racing. Jamileh has been involved in research since 2003 and has spoken at several research symposiums, including the STARS Research Symposium at the University of California, San Diego and the Ronald E. McNair Research Symposium at Saint Louis University. In 2008, Jamileh won the Saint Louis University Keath Award for Undergraduate Research in Biology. In 2003, she was a Semi-finalist in the Siemens Westinghouse Science and Technology National Research Competition.
